Hi everyone. I got into the doll business as a collector. I bought my first Barbie (as an adult) at a garage sale about 20 years ago. It looked like one I had as a kid, and for some reason I got this major thrill buying it. One thing led to another and soon I had dozens of dolls from when I was a kid (early 70's - mod era stuff). I had shelves full of Dawns, Rockflowers, World of Love dolls (with their great hippie names, such as "soul" and "flower") and live action Barbies. At first I started selling dolls to raise more money to buy more dolls, and gradually it turned into a small business. In the "old days" we did paper lists that were mailed out to customers. Anyone remember those? The old SASE and list request??? Then ebay came along, and it is funny to think of how small ebay used to be! I remember telling friends I sold on ebay and they would say "on what?". Then of course a website was a logical addition, and the rest is history.
I hope everyone can relive their childhood a bit when they visit my site. Or maybe use it as a way to show your kids what YOU had as a kid!
